At Swantana Charitable Trust, we believe that education is not just a privilege—it is a fundamental right. Yet for many girls from underprivileged or single-parent families, continuing their education becomes a daily struggle due to financial hardships and family responsibilities. To bridge this gap, the Single Parent Girl Child Scholarship Initiative, in collaboration with Rise4Girl, was launched to empower young girls who have lost a parent and face the risk of dropping out of school or college. These scholarships are more than just financial assistance—they are lifelines that offer hope, dignity, and a renewed path to self-reliance. For most of these girls, this support came at a crucial turning point in their lives. With the scholarship covering essential expenses such as tuition fees, books, and uniforms, they are now able to focus on their studies and work toward a brighter future. Each story shared below is a powerful testimony of resilience, determination, and the transformational impact of your support. These are not just students—we are helping shape the future of young women who will rise as leaders, earners, and change makers in their families, communities and the nation.
